The Wrong Girls

Reviewed by The Editors

Two aimless young women accidentally gain telepathic powers after taking an experimental drug, and end up on a collision course with dangerous rivals after the same thing. Written and directed by Dylan Meyer in her directorial debut, starring Kristen Stewart, Alia Shawkat, LaKeith Stanfield, Tony Hale, Zack Fox, Seth Rogen, Kumail Nanjiani, Kate McKinnon, and Geena Davis.

It's not a lesbian story on the page, but it's a queer filmmaker's directorial debut with real star power behind it, and that's worth tracking in its own right. Critical reception has been mixed so far — solid names, shaggy execution, per the aggregate scores below.

IMDb 5.3/10 · Rotten Tomatoes 61% · Metacritic 59%
