About the Company
A fast-growing healthcare AI startup (30x revenue growth last year).
The Role
The company is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to scope, build, and deploy AI agents directly inside major health systems like Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. This is a founding-level, high-ownership role. You will be the critical link between clinical stakeholders and a production AI platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet directly with physicians, hospital IT teams, and clinical champions to understand workflows and pain points
- Translate loosely defined clinical ideas into concrete, production-ready AI agents
- Build and deploy agents end to end, including evals to confirm they perform as intended
- Iterate on deployed agents based on clinical guidelines and operational feedback to keep them delivering value
- Own the full loop, from a physician flagging an issue to a fix being shipped, in days
Requirements
- 1-6 years of experience in a full-stack or forward-deployed engineering role
- At least one standout signal: a top school, fast-track promotion, founding engineer at a notable company, or a high-performing team at a high-bar company
- Junior track (1-2 years): experience at a high-growth startup, a top FDE-model company (for example Palantir or Scale AI), or a top-10 CS program
- Senior track (3-6 years): big tech background moving into a SWE, founding engineer, or FDE role at a high-growth, VC-backed startup; early-employee experience at a VC-backed startup is also valued
- Healthcare or health-tech background is a plus
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
- Strong Python skills for backend development; frontend experience with React and TypeScript
- Familiarity with Rust and infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, Helm, AWS)
