The Role
The Audit Manager plays a key leadership role in the firm's audit and assurance practice: managing engagements end to end, overseeing teams, and serving as a trusted point of contact for clients. This person works closely with the Audit Partner and takes ownership of the audit and review function, helping drive consistency, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit and review engagements from planning through completion
- Oversee audits and reviews for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of senior and junior audit staff
- Make sure audits are performed in line with professional standards and the firm's methodologies
- Serve as a primary point of contact for audit clients
- Work closely with the Audit Partner on engagement strategy, scheduling, and execution
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and make sure they are resolved on time
- Support continuous improvement within the audit practice and firm-wide initiatives
Requirements
- 6-10+ years of public accounting audit experience
- Prior experience in an Audit Manager role is required (held the title for at least 3 years at the current firm)
- Strong experience managing audits and reviews for both for-profit and nonprofit clients
- Active CPA license required
- Proven ability to manage engagements independently and lead audit teams
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Stable employment history; minimal job changes preferred

Schedule and Location
